Spring is in the air...

Err, you're right. Spring is long gone. And it's almost closing the monsoons. The mighty gulmohar is draped in red finery and the cunning (yes) koel is hiding in the floiage, but not so silenty! I can smell the winds of change. I think of the days gone by since I last wrote (ok, there's no need to remind me when that was!) . And that I have taken the initiative to start this blog, it sort of behooves me to write in. There's a lot that has happened since, that I expect to happen, and then there's nothing at all! Nothing in particular, that I'd like to write about... I insist. And so, I'm fumbling with things that'll help me keep this blog fuelled, to keep my head from atrophy and whatever else and hopefully someone other than myself, entertained. If you are expecting entertaintment at my cost (ok, ok, I was locked again in a new office as I always must to make a fitting entry) or pearls of wisdom, you are sadly mistaken! :) What I will do instead, at this unearthly hour, when I feel at my sharpest best, is to fill up space with pictures.

Bangalore or Bangaluroo if you may, has been home to me for exactly a year now, and there's much I've come to like about this city (as I imagined long before I stepped here). Even in this state of anonymity. Fat lazy squirrels, fatter lazier dogs... huge grubby trees... leaves et al. Roads are lined with flower-bearing trees, which paint it with shades of the season. Today, it's spring. Well, I can almost still smell it. Bloossoms of jacaranda trees flower overnight quite literally painting streets with mild strokes of pink and purple. And then there's the bright, sunshine yellow of another mystical botanical wonder... light unexpected showers, and the trail of a hail... it's altogether heady!
